GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN

2017 should be the year of the woman.

Want to be jetting off to ICELAND now because it's the best place in the world to be female.... Women are required by law to make up between 40 and 60 percent of company boards, and also have the reputation of being much more levelheaded ever since Iceland's economic crisis of 2008-2011. Almost all the major banks crashed except, of course, the one bank run entirely by women.

But really, while we're on the subject - what do U.S. women have to do to prove they're worthy of filling male-dominated spots in government and business? Women make up 19% of Congress and 5% of CEOs of Fortune 500 companies. Only 19% of men say having women lead would improve their lives. To be fair, many women too point to social factors as indicating the in-necessity of women in the workplace. But, we've been tried and tested. We're just as good.

Within the last five years, Iceland has arrested its corrupt (male) bankers - just for Wall Street to take a few hints - and its economy has entirely recovered - under largely female leadership. The Washington Post called the recovery miraculous, for further reading.

Other countries should look to Iceland's success and #girlbosses for some advice. America's 20-trillion-dollar national-debt isn't looking so good. Start 2017, and all of America's government branches are dominated by one party. The last time that happened, it was just before the Great Depression. Cheers, America - don't try to keep messing up too badly.

P.S. Iceland is actually green!!

  1. This is a really good and true conclusion about women. Wish everybody would see it this way. Enjoy Iceland and Happy new Year!
